Title: Legal Secretary

Salary:
upto £19,500
- To
try to ensure that case correspondence and documentation is typed
within 48 hours of dictation
- To
try to ensure that telephone calls are answered within the telephone
ringing three times
- To
carry out audio typing of case correspondence and documents and other
dictated documentation efficiently and accurately, remembering to
keep client matters confidential at all times
- To
assist in file management in accordance with the PMS standards set
out in the File Opening, File Management and File Closing section
of the Office Manual ensuring that letters and documents are filed
promptly and accurately
- To
take telephone calls on behalf of fee earners within the Team when
they are unavailable, prepare clear attendance notes and record the
time spent
- When
directed, to make routine telephone calls or to draft routine letters
and undertaking certain copying and collating tasks to record the
time spent in accordance with the firmıs time recording procedure
set out in the Accounting and Billing Procedures section of the Office
Manual
- To
operate a GroupWise diary and access the fee earners' networked diaries
to make appointments and diarise tasks and file reviews
- To
ensure that bundles of documents and enclosures are accurately photocopied
and collated
- To
assist with the general day to day running and marketing objectives
of the Team by attending Team meetings and carrying out other administrative
activities as directed.

identify and meet your job related training and development needs
This
job description will be reviewed at your Personal Development Review
three months after commencement of employment and thereafter at each
annual Personal Development Review and otherwise periodically.
