Job Information

Seeking an experienced SALES LEDGER CLERK for a 9 month fixed term contract and will be reporting to the Financial Controller.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To assist in the allocating of invoices and credit notes across the sales ledger
  • To liaise with customer services, the sales team and external customers in the timely collection of customer debts
  • To drive the investigation, creation, tracking and subsequent approval of credit notes
  • To investigate and resolve any EDI invoice failures
  • To support the sales order administrator on day to day issues and provide holiday cover
  • To issue accurate and timely daily sales, cash sheet and aged debt report


  • Driven individual with a can-do attitude and willingness to help others succeed
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Numerate and comfortable with working to challenging targets
  • Assertive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Able to work well cross functionally and as part of wider team

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • Credit controller experience
  • Demonstrate delivery of targets
  • FMCG/Retail experience
